AMERICAN MADE

Bella Woods is an upcoming business created and owned by David Gentry of White House, Tn. David was in the marine infantry from 1997 – 2001 and then joined the army after the September 11, 2001 attacks until 2003.

After leaving the military, David tried to form back into reality by getting a job and starting his life again. With frustrations and unable to fight through his mental battles, David jumped from job to job, eventually landing him in Tennessee.

One of his biggest struggles was showing compassion to anyone and everyone. David describes his past self as an angry, rude and hateful person, that is, until he found Bella in 2019. Bella is not a human, but a Jack Russell, with white fur and pops of brown coming through. Bella and David soon became inseparable and spent all of their time together.

Once David began to show compassion and love he downloaded a dating site and created a profile. Not so long after this, Sara his now wife, was hooked after seeing his profile picture of him and Bella.

“If it weren’t for her (Bella) I wouldn’t have found my current wife (Sara). She gave me purpose and showed me that I could love.”

STARTING OVER

Bremen, Ky. was one of the many rural communities affected by the December 10/11, 2021 tornadoes. Beth Ellis lost all of her personal items that were swept away along with her home. Ellis' father lost several of his barns and livestock that surrounded her land. Ellis' aunt and uncle were two of the thirteen casualties in Bremen.
"That hole is where my basement was. We were all down there during the storm, there were ten of us. I didn't even know it was coming so when we ran, I was in volleyball shorts and a t-shirt, no shoes" Ellis said.
